How to Unlock GSM-CDMA Mobile Phones

If you phone has a SIM card installed, you are most likely able to use a cell phone unlock code. A cell phone unlock code is available for many different cell phones, provided they are the GSM type technology. Cell phone unlocking is the process of reprogramming the information on the SIM card so that a cell phone can be used on different network providers networks. In order to unlock cell phone, you will need to find a company, usually online, that is able to provide and sell you a phone unlock code. Once you find the company you are going to get your phone unlock code from, it will be necessary to provide some basic information about your phone to them. Among the first things that they will need is your current cellular carrier information, such as AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.

The brand and model of your phone will be the next information that is needed enter. Your phone has an “IMEI” number, and to obtain this you will have to enter *#06# on your keypad. The IMEI number will then be displayed, and you can enter it into the web form. In general, CDMA phones cannot be unlocked, although there are rare exceptions.

Last of all, you will need to choose a payment method. Depending on your country of origin, and the website being used, you may have to select a specific currency type to check out for payment. Most sites will accept Pay Pal as a payment method. Once you have paid for your unlock cell phone codes, you will receive the code in the form of an email. Follow either the instructions at the website or contact the seller for instructions on using the code correctly.
